Ballot Initiatives

The Washington State Constitution gives the people the right to approve or reject certain state laws through the initiative process. A registered voter desiring to qualify an initiative for the ballot must gather signatures on petitions in order to do so.

The Alliance for Gun Responsibility, in partnership with citizen sponsors, have successfully brought three initiatives to the ballot, which all were passed by Washingtonians: I-594, I-1491 and I-1639.
