Initial results show 95 of 98 Alliance-endorsed candidates advancing to the general election.
SEATTLE, WA—Today, the Alliance for Gun Responsibility Victory Fund, is proud to announce the successful advancement of several endorsed candidates for the primary elections. These candidates, who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to gun responsibility, will continue to champion our cause as they advance to the November general election.
“Last night’s primary results underscore a clear message from voters: they want leaders who are dedicated to enacting effective gun safety measures,” said Renée Hopkins, CEO of the Alliance for Gun Responsibility Victory Fund. “The success of our endorsed candidates underscores the growing demand for stronger gun safety measures and the critical need for dedicated leaders who will stand up to the gun lobby and fight for our community’s safety.”
“We are incredibly proud of the candidates who have secured their place on the November ballot. Their victories today are a crucial step toward a future where Washingtonians are safe from gun violence,” said Stephanie Ervin, Victory Fund Director at the Alliance for Gun Responsibility Victory Fund. “We look forward to supporting their campaigns and ensuring that gun violence prevention remains a top priority in the general election.”
Results are ongoing, but early reports show that gun responsibility champions across the state are leading their races, proving that gun violence prevention is a winning issue. Notable results include:
- Bob Ferguson (Governor)
- Patty Kuderer (Insurance Commissioner)
- Nick Brown (Attorney General)
- Ryan Mello (Pierce County Executive)

- Shaun Scott (State Representative, Pos. 2, LD 43)
- Janet St. Clair (State Senate, LD 10)

With several races still pending final results, we are optimistic about the prospects of candidates like Patti Jackson (Pierce County Sheriff) and Ben Stuckart (State Representative, Pos. 1, LD 3) advancing to the general elections in November, further strengthening local leaders who will prioritize gun safety in Washington State.
As we move toward the general election, the Alliance remains steadfast in our commitment to advocating for sensible gun safety measures. We urge voters to stay informed and support candidates who will work to combat the epidemic of gun violence in our nation.
