Seattle Times: Big backing for gun background checks: Poll

The Seattle Times reports:

The statewide Initiative 594 campaign, designed to close the “gun show loophole,” is getting off the ground with a strong tailwind of public support, according to a poll taken late last summer by Washington, D.C.-based GBA Strategies and just recently made available.

The measure, which would require criminal background checks for gun buyers, registered 73 percent support, with 49 percent of those polled strongly backing the measure.  Just 18 percent were opposed, 11 percent strongly.
