We passed 7 new laws | Three powerhouse state partners | Trained hundreds of local and statewide leaders | Distributed 5,400 lockboxes | Reached more than 120,000 voters.
2024 is one for the history books. To start, we successfully passed seven powerhouse pieces of legislation. These aren’t just wins on paper; they are polices that will save lives for generations to come. We strengthened dealer accountability, modernized our background check system, and gave law enforcement the tools they need to keep firearms out of dangerous hands. None of this happened overnight. It took years of organizing and persistent pressure on lawmakers to act.
At the same time, we doubled down on our commitment to supporting state-based work across the country. Oregon, Michigan, and Maine all made major progress this year with our partnership. From new PACs and policy wins to expanded staff and grassroots training, these partners are building real momentum in places that desperately need it. We believe that the fastest way to save lives is to invest in local organizing, and 2024 proved that belief right.
We also stayed grounded in our community. We were so humbled to partner with so many local leaders, train young advocates, and co-host a statewide conference that brought together more than 300 people to focus on real solutions. Through it all, we kept showing up with clarity, compassion and urgency. This is what it looks like to grow a movement that lasts.
