Watch a recording of the luncheon here!
For our 10th annual luncheon, Building a Safer Future, the Alliance is reflecting on the progress we’ve made since our founding in the wake of the Sandy Hook tragedy and the work ahead to end the gun violence epidemic.
After two long years, we are thrilled to be hosting a hybrid event! We hope that all who are able will join us in person at the Westin in Seattle where we’re excited to share space safely with COVID precautions in place. Anyone unable to gather in person can join us virtually.
Since our founding, the Alliance’s advocacy, education and community outreach, and electoral work has made Washington state a leader in gun violence prevention. We have proven that progress on gun safety is possible.
It is clear that there is so much work left to do. The pandemic and the racial justice movement have added new urgency to the fight against gun violence. We’ve seen example after example of the devastating consequences of overlapping public health crises. The gun lobby’s myriad troubles coupled with gun responsibility champions at the federal level provide a significant opportunity to make real change. We must take full advantage of this moment. Your support will play a key role in funding our lifesaving work in 2022 and beyond.
