Alliance for Gun Responsibility and Initiative 1639 Campaign Respond to the Passing of Paul Allen

Seattle WA  The Alliance for Gun Responsibility and Yes on 1639 Campaign issued the following statement in response to Paul Allen’s death.

“Paul Allen was a committed champion of gun violence prevention in our state. Our movement would not be where it is today without his leadership and support,” said Renee Hopkins, CEO of the Alliance for Gun Responsibility. “From the beginning, Paul was a partner to people who care about the future of Washington and the gun violence prevention movement. His leadership and vision changed our state and country for the better, not only on gun violence prevention, but across a wide range of issues. His leadership will be missed. We will do our best to honor his legacy by fighting for a safer, more just state for all. We are thinking of his family, friends, colleagues and co-workers as they go through this difficult time.”

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Paul Allen. Without his dedication and leadership this campaign would quite literally not have been possible,” said Stephen Paolini, Yes On 1639 Campaign Manager. “Our thoughts are with Paul’s family and friends. His impact will be felt for generations to come and, in the final 22 days of this campaign, we will continue to do everything we can do to honor his life and legacy.”
