Seattle PI: Lawmakers OK gun surrender for restraining order

The Seattle PI reports

The Legislature has passed a measure that would allow a person under a restraining order for domestic violence to be ordered to surrender all firearms.

The Spokesman-Review of Spokane reported that the Senate unanimously passed House Bill 1840. The measure, which passed the House unanimously last month, now goes to Gov. Jay Inslee for his signature.
