Seattle P-I: Big backing for gun background checks
Joel Connelly writes on SeattlePI.com:
A new statewide poll shows that nearly three-quarters of Washington voters support requiring criminal background checks for gun buyers, a finding sure to boost supporters of Initiative 594, headed for the 2014 ballot, which would close the “gun show loophole” here.
The results: 74.3 percent of those surveyed said they would vote for such a measure, 56.7 percent definitely and 17.6 percent probably. The opposition totaled only 20.4 percent.
