Seattle PI: On curbing gun violence candidates for mayor reveal themselves

Murray is at heart a legislator, looking to fashion laws and build coalitions. He praised Initiative 594 as “the best thing I have seen in 18 years in office to get about this.” I-594 would require criminal background checks of those purchasing firearms at gun shows and on-line. It will likely face a statewide vote in 2014.
