As the Washington State Legislature considers budget proposals during the 2022 session, more than two dozen gun violence prevention, community safety, faith, and community organizations, released a letter urging lawmakers to invest $15 million annually in the newly-formed Office of Firearm Safety and Violence Prevention. 

Given the current crisis-level state of Washington’s gun violence epidemic, substantial funding for the Office cannot wait until the next biennium. The full letter and list of signers is below.
