Seattle Mayoral Candidate Forum on Gun Violence Prevention

Ready or not, election season is here again! This November, Washingtonians will elect leaders to local office, from school board to mayor (see our early endorsements here!). Local elected leaders have a huge role to play in the fight against gun violence, ensuring effective implementation of gun safety laws, overseeing law enforcement, funding research and community-based programs, and more.

As the head of the biggest city in Washington, the Seattle mayor is a significant figure in gun violence prevention efforts statewide. With that in mind, we are teaming up with our partners Grandmothers Against Gun Violence to host a candidate forum on June 29th at 12:00pm PT to learn how Seattle mayoral candidates plan to prioritize gun violence prevention if elected.

This forum will give leading mayoral candidates the opportunity to tell voters directly about their plans for gun violence prevention. It will also give us the opportunity to ask the candidates tough questions. And we want to hear from you! Please include any question(s) you’d like to see asked during the forum on your RSVP form.

We’ll share more details soon, but be sure to save your spot today!
