Gun violence in our community continues to be a major problem.
Those at extreme risk of harming themselves or others are particularly susceptible to the irreversible consequences of gun violence. Luckily, Washingtonians are ready to do something about it.
Washington State is leading the national movement for gun responsibility – and our Legislature must do its part by acting on the public’s clear support for stronger gun laws. Help us make 2017 the best year yet at the Legislature for gun responsibility by joining Alliance Allies.
The Stakes for Gun Responsibility in 2017
The 2017 Washington State Legislature is considering policies included that will protect our families, law enforcement, and communities from gun violence by strengthening our gun laws and ensuring their effective enforcement.
But the gun lobby, fresh off victories at the national level, has other ideas: roll back our gun laws that keep guns out of dangerous hands.
Why Alliance Allies?
The Alliance for Gun Responsibility has been working hard to build the support and momentum we will need to advance these policies in the Legislature. This past November, you came together to deliver an overwhelming victory for Initiative 1491. We need you more than ever to succeed in the 2017 Legislative Session.
Please join Alliance Allies and help us win this fight.
By starting your own Alliance Allies fundraising page, you will help grow our movement and give your friends and family an opportunity to join you in supporting common-sense policies in the Legislature.
You will simply write to your network, explain why you got involved in reducing gun violence in Washington State, and talk to them about why they should do the same. Lastly, you will ask them to make a contribution towards your Alliance Allies fundraising goal.
The money you raise with Alliance Allies will ensure we have the resources we need to fight for these policies in Olympia – and take on the gun lobby.
Thanks for your support. We couldn’t do this without you.
